Physicochemical Changes and Microbiome Associations during Vermicomposting of Winery Waste

چکیده
Annually, the wine industry produces high amounts of waste that can be toxic if disposed without pretreatment. Vermicomposting is an efficient and low-cost method decomposing organic matter using earthworms under controlled conditions. The substrate used in vermicomposting process affects microbial populations reflects dynamics enzymatic activity, decomposition matter, nitrogen transformations. However, microbiome associations during whole are still unexplored. Thus, aim present study was to investigate physicochemical, enzymatic, microbial, activities winery waste. In this vein, a rectangular vermireactor with Eisenia andrei fetida earthworms, loaded waste, used. At end process, carbon/nitrogen (C/N) ratio decreased, total increased, pH neutralized excess were recorded. bacterial fungal phyla detected by next-generation sequencing analysis identified Armatimonadetes, Bacteriodetes, Candidatus saccharibacteria, Chloroflexi, Cyanobacteria, Planctomycetes, Proteobacteria Ascomycota, Basidiomycota, Chytridiomycota, Entomophthoromycota, Glomeromycota, Mucoromycota, respectively. Physicochemical changes occurring along diversity at beginning may lead better understanding winery-waste biotransformation into effective biofertilizer.

The vermicompost using earthworms (Eisenia Fetida) was produced from food waste and chemical parameters (EC, pH, carbon to nitrogen contents (C/N)) and germination bioassay was examined in order to assess the stability and maturity indicators during the vermicomposting process. The seed used in the germination bioassay was cress. The ranges of EC, pH, C/N and germination index were 7.5-4.9 mS/c...
